When is the election for TX House District 14?

The Primary election is May 29, 2012.  Early voting is May 14 – May 25th.

Where can I check the new Legislative Map for District 14 since the district has changed?

Go to this website and you can input your address:  http://gis1.tlc.state.tx.us/

Who are the filed candidates?

Democrat Primary: Judy LeUnes

Republican Primary: Hal Hawkins and John Raney

Is Judy LeUnes the only Democrat in the race?

Yes.

Is Judy LeUnes the only former public schoolteacher in the race?

Yes

Is there a limit to the amount of money I may donate?

No.

May public employees volunteer for the campaign?

Yes, outside of their work schedule.

What are public school/TAMU employees allowed to do?

Public school/TAMU employees may donate as much time or money as they want. They may not campaign during their work schedule or while using any public/government resources such as computers, email systems, copiers, printers, etc.

When do I need to register to be eligible to vote on May 29?

A voter registration card needs to be received or postmarked by Tuesday, April 30, 2012. The mailing address is:

Where do I get a voter registration card?

Voter registration cards are available at many libraries, post offices, DPS offices and at the Tax Assessor-Collector’s office.

If I am a college student, may I vote?

Yes, you just have to be registered to vote in Brazos County.
